Set a Goal & Get Moving By Signing Up For A Race
The hardest part about running is getting started again after you’ve taken some time off. It’s always a struggle to shake off the rust and drag yourself through the first couple of runs. Once you get into a groove though, there’s no better feeling. Having a specific event to train for is one way to force yourself off that couch. 
So I signed up for a 10K to keep me motivated and active during the holidays. The only problem? I’m not exactly in my best tip top running shape at the moment.
I’m still working on getting into that groove and was a little discouraged with my slow speed and general post-Thanksgiving sluggishness this morning. I needed the little inspirational nugget above to get me moving today. Remember: No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch.
